Richard Buxton, Head of U.K. Equities at Old Mutual Global Investors and manager of the Old Mutual U.K. Alpha Fund, discusses his key macro influencers for U.K. equities, including Brexit ramifications, the interest rate environment and the potential end of the bond market bull-run.

On the the day before Lloyds Bank made its record profit announcement, he also outlines his favoured portfolio position in financials and why U.K. banks are in stronger positions than some of their European counterparts.

About Richard Buxton

Richard joined Old Mutual Global Investors as Head of UK Equities in June 2013 and is the manager of the Old Mutual UK Alpha Fund. He was appointed as Chief Executive in August 2015. He was previously at Schroders, where he managed the Schroders UK Alpha Plus Fund for over 10 years.

Prior to Schroders, he spent over decade at Baring Asset Management, having commenced his investment career in 1985 at Brown Shipley Asset Management.

Richard was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Honour at the Morningstar OBSR Awards in 2012 and has a degree in English Language and Literature, Oxford University.
